Sorry for the break in posts, I've been out of the country on holiday but I'm back now and posting will continue.

Duke Progress 2









I've had to break the model up into 2 sections as the meshes are becoming very dense and taxing on my system, as well as 2 many subtools to manage and more to be added before hes finished. Pretty pleased with the sculpt so far apart from it taking a very long time. But i've learned a lot during this production so things should speed up soon.

First person arms Zbrush


As well as working on some characters for my Final Major project, I've also collaborated with a few other course mates to work on a Victorian Horror game that we've called "Till Death do us Part"

Here's some Zbrush sculpt work for the first person/characters arms. Were going to be using the Oculus Rift  for this game which is quite exciting. Next step with the arms is to texture them, a lot of bruising to be added to the knuckles and fingers to get the desired finish.

Duke Progress 1






Here's where I'm at so far sculpting wise with this character. This is my first proper attempt at sculpting anything in Zbrush so it's been quite the learning curve so far. I've poured so many hours into just learning from mistakes and so sculpting has been really slow progress. Hoping to have all the sculpt done by the end of the week, which as you can see there's still some way to go. If your wondering why there's a hole in his face, it's because he'll have a mask on top.

Duke Modelled







So here's where I'm at so far. I'm currently unwrapping the Uv's for the character which is going to take some time as there is a lot of pieces to unwrap. But once there done I can begin to sculpt using Zbrush which I'm really looking forward to.

As well as this character I have a second character to create which is Duke's partner in crime. I'll be modelling her soon and images will follow with her progress.

Duke Turnaround




Here's the model sheet I also created to help me model the character, whilst modelling the character I made some changes to some of the armour pieces and placements as I realised some parts were either difficult to make, or wouldn't animate well when it comes to the skinning process later on.

So this is a colour study I made for a character I'm working on at the moment. I'll be modelling the character using Maya for one part of my Final major project.

Introduction to me.

Hi, I am Jamie Stubbs and I am in my final year at University. I am studying BA Games Art and I am hoping to go into CG art. I have set up this blog as a platform to showcase some of my work to you. I will also be publishing some of my work that is still in progress.
